Dr Richard Marley is a consultant specialising in hepatology and gastroenterology, with a clinical practice based at The Princess Grace Hospital. He is affiliated with both the London Digestive Centre and the Physicians’ Clinic, where he provides specialist assessment and treatment for a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver-related conditions.
His clinical work covers general gastroenterology and hepatology, alongside diagnostic and interventional endoscopic procedures. Dr Marley routinely performs colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy as part of his practice.
Dr Marley completed his undergraduate medical studies at the University of Oxford, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Medicine and Surgery. His postgraduate medical training was undertaken at the Royal Free Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital. During this period, he pursued academic research into the haemodynamic effects of cirrhosis, which led to the award of a doctoral degree.
In 2001, Dr Marley was appointed as a consultant at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Australia, where he further developed his specialist clinical experience. His work combines clinical gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopic practice, informed by a strong academic background.
