Dr. Berman graduated in medicine at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School (University of London) in 1996. He initially became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2001 before joining a specialist training program for palliative medicine (Royal College of Physicians) in 2002. Dr. Berman now practices as a consultant in palliative medicine, honorary senior lecturer, and undergraduate tutor. His specialist interests are complex pain control in cancer, management of complex symptoms in cancer, and malignant bowel obstruction. Dr. Berman is also Chair of the patient experience committee. His expertise includes pain management, symptom control, pain control in cancer, complex symptom control in advanced disease, and malignant bowel obstruction.
