Dr. Philip Borg is a consultant interventional radiologist and the departmental lead for ultrasound. He graduated from the University of Malta in 2006 and started training in clinical radiology in Sheffield in 2009. He published the bestselling textbook ‘Radiological Anatomy for FRCR part 1’ and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2012. Dr. Borg completed a fellowship in interventional radiology in 2014. His main subspecialty interests are biliary, gastrointestinal, and urology image-guided intervention and ablation of liver and lung tumours. His clinical expertise includes interventional oncology, diagnostic radiology, imaging and intervention for liver cancer, oesophageal cancer, colorectal cancer, kidney cancer, lung cancer, ovarian cancer, neuroendocrine tumours, pancreatic cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, melanoma, and various medical procedures such as biliary intervention, urology intervention, ultrasound and CT guided biopsy, microwave ablation, gastrointestinal intervention, oesophageal stent insertion, thyroid ultrasound imaging, radiofrequency ablation of thyroid nodules, and vascular access.
