Dr. Murtuza Khan is a consultant paediatrician with dual certification in general paediatrics and paediatric respiratory medicine, achieved in 1999. After graduating from the University of Dundee in 1985, he trained at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, The Variety Club Children's Hospital at King's College, Guy's & St. Thomas' Hospitals, and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Khan is also an honorary senior lecturer in paediatrics. He is the clinical lead for paediatric allergy, eczema, and respiratory services and serves as the deputy clinical director. Dr. Khan is actively involved in research, with publications presented at international gatherings such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, European Respiratory Society, and American Thoracic Society. He has also spent nearly three years in Saudi Arabia developing paediatric services in hospitals in Jeddah. Currently, he is a panel member on the National Review of Asthma Deaths (NRAD), reviewing all asthma deaths in children in the UK. His clinical expertise includes lung function tests, skin prick tests, allergy testing, ECG, food provocation advice, management of food and other allergies, cough, urticaria, asthma, eczema, management of recurrent infections, and general paediatrics.
