Dr. Malcolm Rustin is a highly accomplished dermatologist with expertise in treating various skin conditions, including atopic eczema, skin cancer, psoriasis, and rare skin diseases. He has a strong academic background, having obtained his medical degree from the University of London in 1976 and completed his medical training at Middlesex Hospital in London.
Dr. Rustin is actively involved in research, with a particular focus on atopic eczema. He collaborates with Professor Arne Akbar from the Department of Immunology and has supervised numerous MD and PhD students. He has published over 100 articles based on his research, which has made significant contributions to the field. In recognition of his achievements, University College London awarded him a personal chair in 2011.
Dr. Rustin has held several prestigious positions throughout his career, including Academic Vice-president of the British Association of Dermatologists, President of the Section of Dermatology at the Royal Society of Medicine, and President Elect of the Dowling Club. These positions reflect his dedication to advancing the field of dermatology and improving patient care.
