Kate Pereira Garcez

Dr Garcez is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Clinical Lead for thyroid cancer at The Christie in Manchester.

She provides treatment and follow-up for patients with thyroid cancer using a combination of radioiodine, radiotherapy, and systemic therapies including targeted agents and chemotherapy. She also treats patients with head and neck cancer using radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Dr Garcez graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff in 1998 and completed her general medical training in South Wales. She went on to undertake specialty training in Clinical Oncology at Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff before joining The Christie, where she was appointed Consultant in 2014. Her expertise covers radioiodine therapy, radiotherapy, and systemic treatments for thyroid and head and neck cancers.
