Dr Julian Collinson is a consultant cardiologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Dr Collinson has expertise in all aspects of general cardiology and specialises in coronary artery disease including interventional cardiology and the implantation of devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators.
Dr Collinson qualified from King’s College London in 1992 before completing his general training in Manchester. He then specialised in cardiology at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust. He gained his MD from Imperial College London where his research focused on the epidemiology and management of acute coronary syndromes.
Dr Collinson continues to be active in research and has interests in the areas of heart failure and valvular disease. He has published his work in peer-reviewed journals and has also made contributions to angina and heart failure publications.
Outside of medicine, Dr Collinson enjoys scuba diving and taking part in triathlons.
