Dr. James H. Briggs is a highly regarded consultant interventional and diagnostic radiologist practising in Berkshire and London. With an impressive academic foundation, Dr. Briggs achieved a first-class degree in Physics from University College London before qualifying in medicine in 2007.
He undertook his medical training in Oxford, followed by specialist training in clinical radiology and a fellowship in interventional radiology. Dr. Briggs was one of the first specialists to receive a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in clinical radiology, alongside certification in the sub-specialty of Interventional radiology.
With over a decade of expertise in interventional radiology, Dr. Briggs has a particular focus on embolisation therapy. His specialities include fibroid embolisation, prostate artery embolisation, image-guided biopsies, ultrasound scanning, and coronary CT. Additionally, his diagnostic radiology practice is well-established, specialising in cardiovascular and thoracic imaging for conditions such as coronary artery disease, lung cancer, and interstitial lung disease.
Dr. Briggs currently practises at The Princess Grace Hospital, where he is known for his innovative techniques and patient-focused care. He has published extensively in leading medical journals.
Dr. Briggs is an active member of professional organisations, including the British Society of Interventional Radiology, the European Society of Interventional Radiology, the British Society of Cardiac Imaging, and the European Society of Thoracic Imaging.
