Dr Gayatri Mittal is a Consultant Rheumatologist currently working at the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital NHS Trust and as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at University College London. Dr Mittal specialises in Rheumatology and her areas of interest are early inflammatory arthritis, early inflammatory back pain, RA, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthropathies, gout, hypermobility, osteoarthritis, connective tissue diseases and systemic autoimmune diseases, soft-tissue and regional and bone disorders.
Dr Mittal graduated from Mumbai University, India, in 1988, with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees. In 1994 she completed a Doctor of Medicine at Mumbai University. She attained a Membership of the Royal College of Physicians, London in 2004 and completed a PhD at Queen Mary University of London, in 2013.
She has many professional memberships and affiliations including British Society of Rheumatology and Indian Society of Rheumatology. In 2016 she received a Clinical Excellence Award at her NHS post for her contribution to the Trust.
