Dr. Dionysis Papadatos-Pastos is a consultant medical oncologist with specialist interests in the treatment of lung cancer and mesothelioma. He graduated with first-class honours in medicine from the University of Athens and completed his PhD in medical oncology in 2012. His medical oncology training was completed at Guy's and St Thomas', St George's University Hospitals, and The Royal Marsden, and he obtained his specialist certificate in medical oncology from the Institute of Cancer Research at the University of London. Dr. Papadatos-Pastos has conducted formal research into prognostic and predictive biomarkers and the combination of immunotherapy drugs with novel compounds, participating in numerous drug trials. He has presented his findings at conferences worldwide and published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Clinical Cancer Research, and the British Journal of Cancer. He received the ASCO merit award in 2010. His clinical expertise includes developing novel targeted therapies for lung cancer, assessing combinations of immunotherapy drugs with other anti-cancer compounds, and treating non-small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer, and malignant mesothelioma.
