Christopher Schelvan

Dr Christopher Schelvan is a Consultant Radiologist with extensive experience in cross-sectional imaging and specialist interests in oncology, gastrointestinal imaging, urogynaecology, and abdominal radiology. He completed his medical degree and initial general medical training at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School before undertaking higher specialist training in radiology at University College London Hospitals.

He was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 1997 and went on to achieve Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2000, marking his completion of specialist radiology training. Dr Schelvan has broad expertise across MRI, CT, ultrasound, and general radiology, with a particular focus on advanced imaging techniques used in the assessment and management of complex disease.

A key area of his clinical practice is stereotactic body radiotherapy, including CyberKnife technology. He has served as Lead Radiologist for the CyberKnife Centre at the Harley Street Clinic since 2009, supporting precision-guided treatment planning and delivery. In addition, he regularly performs image-guided procedures, including biopsies and drainage, using both CT and ultrasound guidance.

Alongside his clinical responsibilities, Dr Schelvan has been the radiology course lead at Imperial College London, where he is actively involved in teaching and mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
