Dr Chris Baker is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, with specialist registration in both Cardiology and General Internal Medicine. He obtained his Medical Degree from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1990 and completed his PhD in Myocardial Hibernation and Stunning at the Hammersmith Hospital.
After his training in cardiology at the London Chest and St Bartholomew's Hospitals, he performs hundreds of coronary and other cardiac procedures each year. He has a particular interest in managing patients with complex coronary artery disease, including those affected by kidney problems, chronic total occlusions, and percutaneous treatments for the mitral valve, such as Mitraclip implants. He operates a specialised clinic at the North West London Renal Unit, performing various cardiac procedures, including treatment for structural heart issues, pacemaker implantation, and heart valve abnormalities.
