Dr Bryan Youl is a Consultant Neurophysiologist who evaluates patients referred by neurologists, rheumatologists, orthopaedic and hand surgeons, as well as general practitioners. His clinical work focuses on the assessment of peripheral nerve and muscle conditions, using diagnostic techniques such as nerve conduction studies and electromyography. He has a particular interest in supporting musicians who develop nerve or muscle injuries.
Dr Youl is based at the Royal Free Hospital in North London and also provides private consultations at multiple locations. His areas of clinical interest include neuromuscular disease, peripheral neuropathy, movement disorders, electromyography, and neuro-rehabilitation.
Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Youl maintains active professional involvement across several medical organisations. He is a member of the Association of British Neurologists, the British Medical Association, the British Peripheral Nerve Association, the British Peripheral Nerve Society, the British Society for Clinical Neurophysiology, and the Royal College of Physicians.
