Dr. Arvinder Kurbaan is a consultant Cardiologist. Following his graduation from Guy's in 1990, he undertook his training in Cardiology at St Marys, St Bartholomew's, Harefield, and Royal Brompton Hospitals. Upon completing his training, he was awarded a Doctorate in Medicine for research at Imperial College, London. As a result of his research into the treatment of coronary heart disease, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 2003. Now at the peak of his career, Dr. Kurbaan enjoys passing on his knowledge to younger students and is actively involved in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His extensive training and education have allowed him to develop specialist interests within his field of Cardiology, including the treatment of heart blockages (Coronary Angioplasty/Stenting), treatment of damaged heart valves, and closing holes in the heart (closure of patent foramen ovale and atrial septal defects). Outside of work, Dr. Kurbaan enjoys sports, particularly tennis, cricket, and skiing.
