Dr Anthi Thangarajah is a Consultant specializing in Paediatric Gastroenterology, working at Chiswick Medical Centre and The Portland Hospital. She is also experienced in paediatric diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and is a JAG accredited trainer in endoscopy.
Dr Thangarajah qualified from Medicine in 2000 at King’s College School of Medicine, London. Within her degree, she completed an intercalated BSc and achieved a 1st class honors degree. She then completed a competitive national training programme in Paediatric Gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition. Through carrying out this training programme, she decided to complete a PhD at Imperial College London. She investigated the nutritional assessment of children suffering from chronic intestinal conditions.
Within her field in Paediatrics, she is involved in the delivery of services to help treat feeding difficulties, gastrointestinal allergy, intestinal failure and inflammatory bowel diseases. Furthermore, she is actively involved in carrying out research to improve delivery efficiency.
Apart from her clinical work, she is also a member of several organisations including, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, The British and European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition and the European Crohn’s Colitis Organisation.
