Dr Anjali Zarkar is a highly experienced Consultant Clinical Oncologist with a specialist focus on urological cancers, including prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers, as well as skin cancers. She graduated in Medicine from Bombay University in 1993, later completing a postgraduate qualification in General Medicine in 1996. Her oncology training began at the Clatterbridge Centre of Oncology in Liverpool and continued through the West Midlands Deanery. She went on to gain a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Science from the University of Liverpool and further enhanced her professional credentials by qualifying from the University of Birmingham Medical School. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists.

Appointed as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust in 2006, Dr Zarkar has since established a reputation for clinical excellence and innovation. She plays an active role in research, serving as principal investigator and co-investigator on a range of national and international clinical trials. Alongside her NHS role, she is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham.

In private practice, Dr Zarkar consults at The Harborne Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK, where she provides chemotherapy and advanced oncology care. Dedicated to compassionate, patient-centred treatment, she combines clinical expertise with a commitment to improving cancer outcomes.
