Dexter Wiseman is a consultant Respiratory and General Internal Medicine physician at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust with a special interest in sleep medicine. He also works very closely with the lung cancer team specialising in bronchoscopy, EBUS (endobronchial ultrasound)and diagnostics. He graduated medical school in 2010 and began his respiratory specialist training in North West London in 2015. Amongst others he has worked at the Hammersmith Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster, the Royal Brompton and Northwick Park.
Dexter is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the National Heart and Lung Institute - Imperial College London having completed a PhD working in respiratory medicine. He has previously helped run the London COPD exacerbation cohort and his research interests include sleep, RSV and COPD.
More recently Dexter took up a post as a consultant respiratory physician at Chelsea and Westminster hospital and is the lead for non-invasive ventilation for the trust. He also runs weekly EBUS lists and sleep clinics specialising in OSA. He previously led a service review of the local sleep service diagnostics pathway and was jointly awarded an HSJ award in the category of modernising medical diagnostics
