DDr Daniel Stott is a consultant in obstetrics at The Portland Hospital and at University College Hospital London (UCLH). He has established a successful antenatal clinic for women with hypertension at UCLH and he is the Trust's clinical lead for foetal monitoring.
He specialises in maternal and fetal medicine and has tertiary-level expertise in obstetric ultrasound scanning, prenatal diagnosis and maternal medicine and has active research interests in pregnancies complicated by hypertension and in fetal medicine. He is an honorary lecturer at UCL.
Dr Stott gained his MBBS from St George's, University of London and completed his training within the London Deanery. He has completed sub-specialty training in maternal and foetal medicine at University College Hospital, London. He has published an MD on haemodynamics in hypertensive pregnancies at King's College London, under the supervision of Professor Nicolaides, and has published widely in the area of pre-eclampsia. Prior to qualifying in medicine, Dr Stott worked as a journalist and he is presently the social media editor for the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and an associate editor of The Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, a renowned academic journal. He is a member of the International Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG), the British Intrapartum Care Society and the Medico-Legal Society.
Mr Stott is a gifted communicator and an accomplished obstetrician who places women's well-being at the heart of his practice.
