Mr. Alex Leo is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon with extensive experience in the treatment and management of colorectal conditions and pelvic floor disorders. He specialises in laparoscopic, mini-invasive surgery, and abdominal wall hernia reconstructions.

Mr. Leo obtained his primary medical degree at the University of Perugia, Italy. He then pursued his training in General and Colorectal Surgery, earning his Medical Doctorate cum laude in General Surgery from the University of Udine, in addition to his diploma in General Surgery. Following this, he relocated to the UK to work as a specialist registrar at St. Mark's Hospital, where he completed a fellowship in Neuromodulation and Physiology under the renowned Miss Carolynne Vaizey.

Since joining Northwick Park and St Mark's Hospital as a Consultant, Leo has also earned his Medical Doctorate from Imperial College London for his research on the treatment and diagnosis of faecal incontinence. He has published numerous scientific research papers on colorectal disorders and pelvic floor conditions and presented his research at various national and international conferences and meetings.
