Caroline Bleakley

Dr Bleakley is a Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Free Hospital, where she also holds the role of Clinical Lead for Cardiac Imaging. A graduate of Queen's University Belfast, she holds a postgraduate MD in cardiovascular research. Her specialist training included highly competitive fellowships in cardiology and advanced echocardiography at two of Europe's most prestigious cardiac centres: King's College Hospital and the Royal Brompton Hospital, both in London.

Dr Bleakley is an Assistant Clinical Professor and a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography, and is regularly invited to speak at conferences in her field. She has an extensive record of published research. Clinically, her principal areas of expertise are valvular heart disease and advanced echocardiography, alongside which she offers consultations covering the full breadth of general cardiology.
