Mr Benedetto Mondelli is a Consultant Gynaecologist with expertise in endometriosis and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. He holds an NHS consultant post at the Royal Surrey County Hospital (Guildford), where his practice is primarily dedicated to advanced laparoscopic surgery for severe endometriosis and other benign gynaecological conditions.
He performs a high number of complex endometriosis procedures every year, including surgery for deep infiltrating disease.
His training includes a fellowship in advanced endometriosis surgery and he also completed the accredited training in advanced laparoscopic surgery for the excision of benign disease.
Mr Mondelli's main area of expertise is minimally invasive surgery, and he has a strong interest in caring for women with pelvic pain, endometriosis, and heavy or irregular periods. His clinical practice is almost entirely focused on the management of endometriosis, pelvic pain and abnormal uterine bleeding, and he is committed to providing personalised treatment to improve quality of life.
He has played an active role in the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE), previously serving as a council member. He currently contributes to the BSGE Information Resources where he organises and moderates national and international webinars on minimally invasive and robotic gynaecological surgery.
Mr Mondelli has presented widely at national and international conferences and has published extensively on advanced laparoscopic surgery and endometriosis. His contributions to the field have been recognised with several accolades.
