Dr Anicee Danaee is a consultant haematologist at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospitals. She undertook her undergraduate training at King’s College London and her post graduate training in haematology at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital, with fellowships in paediatric haematology (general, sickle cell and haemophilia) and a research fellowship at the Royal Free Hospital and Imperial College at the Hammersmith Hospital investigating thrombosis in patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms. Since her appointment in 2017 she has led cancer associated thrombosis services, overseeing the development of a service which now comprises two consultants, an oncology nurse specialist and specialist pharmacist, and routinely reviews both inpatients and outpatients.

Other specialist interests include thrombosis, haemostasis and blood transfusion where she leads on pre- and post-operative optimisation of patients who refuse blood products. She is a member of an expert group on haemolytic transfusion reactions for the Serious Hazards of blood Transfusion (SHOT) organisation. She is the undergraduate educational lead for haematology at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital.
