Mr Andraay Leung is a consultant orthopaedic spinal surgeon whose clinical practice is dedicated exclusively to the treatment of spinal conditions. His areas of expertise include degenerative disorders of the spine, adult spinal deformity, spinal trauma, spinopelvic pathology, and minimally invasive spinal surgery, covering conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar regions.
He graduated in medicine from the University of Glasgow and completed higher training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery across the West of Scotland. Following this, Mr Leung undertook advanced orthopaedic–neurosurgical spinal fellowships focused on complex spinal surgery.
Alongside his clinical work, Mr Leung is actively involved in academia. He is a lecturer at the University of Birmingham and has previously held teaching roles at the University of Glasgow. He also serves as an associate principal investigator on clinical trials relating to spinal trauma and has published research in peer-reviewed journals.
Mr Leung holds a number of leadership and professional roles. He is currently Deputy Lead for the West Midlands Regional Spinal Network and previously served as a Councillor for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow between 2018 and 2021. He offers private consultations at Harborne Hospital on Tuesday afternoons, with virtual consultations available by arrangement.
