Mr Ameet Gupta is a Consultant in Robotic and Urological Surgery with specialist expertise in uro‑oncology, alongside comprehensive diagnostic and core urology services. He offers full assessment and management of general urological conditions, including the investigation and treatment of renal stone disease. Based at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, part of The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, he is an integral member of the Men’s Health Service. Patients consistently value his clear explanations, compassionate approach, and personalised, evidence‑based care. Mr Gupta is also committed to raising awareness of men’s health issues, regularly delivering educational sessions and staff wellbeing events across the organisation.
His medical training began in London, where he qualified in 2007, followed by foundation training in the East Midlands. He subsequently spent two years in Cardiff undertaking laboratory‑based bladder cancer research before entering higher surgical training in urology across the West Midlands. After completing his specialist training (CCT), Mr Gupta undertook an advanced fellowship at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, the busiest trauma centre in the southern hemisphere. He then completed a second prestigious fellowship at University College Hospital London (UCLH), a world‑leading institution for complex and robotic urological surgery. There, he developed further expertise in robotic procedures for bladder and prostate cancer. His current practice includes robotic prostatectomy and robotic cystectomy, alongside the full breadth of diagnostic and general urology.
