Amara Ezeonyeji

Dr Amara Ezeonyeji is a Consultant Rheumatologist with over a decade of consultant-level experience and is based at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, one of London's leading teaching hospitals. She serves as Care Group Lead for Rheumatology and Clinical Governance Lead for the department, providing leadership across governance, quality improvement, and the strategic development of rheumatology services.

Her specialist interest is psoriatic arthritis, and she chairs the multi-trust Psoriatic Arthritis MDT Panel for the NHS South-West London Integrated Care Board. Dr Ezeonyeji is also actively involved in clinical research and clinical trials, helping to ensure that patients have access to the latest evidence-based treatments and emerging therapies.

Dr Ezeonyeji manages the full spectrum of rheumatological conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, ankylosing spondylitis, connective tissue diseases, osteoporosis, gout, fibromyalgia, and hypermobility disorders. She has extensive experience in the use of biologic therapies and regularly performs joint and soft tissue injections.

She holds a research doctorate (MD) from University College London and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, including Rheumatology, Lupus Science & Medicine, and Frontiers in Immunology. Her work has also been presented at major national and international conferences.
