About

Dr. Alison Carter is a consultant ENT surgeon with a special interest in paediatric ENT, having completed her fellowship at the globally renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.

She works as a NHS consultant at the Royal National ENT Hospital and University College London Hospital (UCLH) where she has an exclusive paediatric practice, and also works alongside the infant feeding team in running the UCLH neonatal tongue tie service.

She has presented academically both across the UK and internationally, has over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals, an authorship of a widely used ENT textbook, and several surgical awards. Beyond her clinical practice, she actively engages in medical education, enthusiastically working with both students and allied specialties to further their knowledge of ENT.

As a mother of two young children, she understands firsthand the worries parents face when their child is unwell. This personal experience, combined with her expertise, enables her to provide expert care with warmth, reassurance, and a focus on what truly matters to families.
