Dr Ahmed Kadir is a paediatric gastroenterologist based at New Victoria Hospital, where he specialises in nutrition, paediatric inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, and allergic gut disease. He gained his medical degree from the University of Karachi before undertaking paediatric training in London. Following this, Dr Kadir trained in paediatric gastroenterology at a number of renowned hospitals, including Great Ormond Street Hospital, King's College Hospital, and the Royal London Hospital. He then went on to gain a master's degree in gastroenterology from Queen Mary's University of London.
In 2016, Dr Kadir became a full-time NHS consultant paediatric gastroenterologist and is currently based at the Royal London Hospital (part of Bart's Health NHS Trust). He has previously worked at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. Dr Kadir is active in research and has been involved in international clinical trials on short gut and irritable bowel disease. He is also involved in medical education and currently teaches medical students as well as students on the MSc gastroenterology course at QMUL.
