About

Dr. Adam Gassas is a full-time paediatric consultant haematologist at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and the former Clinical Director for Paediatric Specialties at St Mary’s Hospital.

He completed his paediatric training across several renowned hospitals in London, including Great Ormond Street Hospital, St Bartholomew’s, and the Royal London Hospital. After achieving membership with the UK Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Dr. Gassas pursued further specialised training and a fellowship at SickKids in Toronto, Canada, focusing on paediatrics, paediatric haematology/oncology, and paediatric stem cell transplantation. He then worked as a consultant at SickKids for 12 years before returning to the UK, where he spent five years as the director of a large paediatric haematology/oncology programme in Bristol.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gassas is a leading investigator in numerous paediatric research studies, including national and international multicentre prospective studies, which have contributed to significant improvements in paediatric haematology practices. He has authored over 80 original research articles published in high-impact medical journals.

Dr. Gassas provides expert care to newborns, children, adolescents, and young adults with a wide range of paediatric haematology conditions. He offers comprehensive assessments, investigations, and treatments for general paediatric issues, as well as complex cases in paediatric haematology, oncology, and stem cell transplantation.
