Penelope Law

Dr Penelope Law is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 20 years of experience in clinical practice and medical education in central London. She is on the GMC Specialist Register for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, having entered the register in December 2008.

She completed her medical degree (MB BS) at the University of London in 1993, having previously studied Social Policy at Bedford College, University of London. Dr Law also trained as a nurse at The Royal London Hospital prior to qualifying in medicine.

Her clinical practice includes the management of a broad range of obstetric and gynaecological conditions, with particular expertise in uterine fibroids and endometrial disorders. Dr Law is internationally recognised for her research into obesity in pregnancy and the development of non-invasive treatments for fibroids, which are widely regarded as alternatives to surgical intervention. She regularly lectures on these subjects.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Law is a co-founder of Night Doctor London, an out-of-hours GP service. Her approach to care emphasises evidence-based decision-making and the provision of clear, up-to-date information to support individualised management throughout pregnancy and gynaecological treatment.
