Ajoy is a Clinical Lecturer within the Dermatology Research Group at the University of Birmingham,, with a focus upon rare inherited skin fragility syndromes, specifically Epidermolysis Bullosa. He has been a member of the regional genomic rare disease advisory board, serves as the current secretary for the Midland Dermatology Society, and also holds leadership positions on several national committees. His involvement includes past membership in the British Association of Dermatologists' committee for Therapeutics & Guidelines (T&G) and current participation in the steering committee for Skin Genetics. He is also an elected member of the British Association of Dermatologists' Executive Committee.
