Mr Welck qualified from the school of medicine, University of Leeds in 1997. He was awarded MSc and BSc degrees both with first class honours and distinction. He is double fellowship trained both in the UK and in the USA. His NHS practice is at the Royal National Orthopaedic NHS Trust where he deals with national and international complex tertiary referrals. He is used to working in a multidisciplinary team to include nurses, physiotherapists, orthodontists, radiologists and anesthetists. He treats the complete range of foot and ankle conditions and trauma. He subspeciality interest is in ankle arthritis and replacement, degenerative foot and ankle problems, and sports injuries of the foot and ankle. He convenes multiple foot and ankle courses, and is widely published in his field. He regularly presents his work at national and international meetings.
