Mr Konstantinos Charitopoulos is a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon with a special interest in endourology and urinary and kidney stone management. He completed his medical training at Patras University Medical School in Greece before moving on to complete his speciality Urology training in Athens.
Following this, Mr Charitopoulos went to the UK and completed a Fellowship in Endourology at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. He has also been awarded a PhD with Honours from the University of Athens and has published his research findings in over 30 scientific journals.
Since becoming a Consultant in 2010, Mr Charitopoulos has been instrumental in developing the Urinary and Kidney Stones services at West Middlesex Hospital, as well as establishing a successful endourology service. He has also played a key role in developing the Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms Clinics and Pathways, which offer patients the opportunity to have day case surgery for Benign Prostate Hyperplasia using the Urolift device.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Charitopoulos is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College Medical School, which highlights his dedication to teaching and educating the next generation of urological surgeons. His impressive track record and expertise make him a highly respected member of the medical community.
