Dr Joban Sehmi is a highly qualified consultant cardiologist with expertise in advanced cardiac imaging, heart failure, arrhythmia, and valvular heart disease. He obtained his medical degree from Guy's and St Thomas' medical school in 2003 and subsequently completed his cardiology training at the Northwest London cardiology training scheme.
Dr Sehmi went on to complete prestigious sub-specialist fellowships in advanced cardiac imaging at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and the Royal Brompton Hospital. He also earned a PhD from Imperial College in 2013, where he investigated the genetic and environmental factors contributing to the increased risk of type-2 diabetes among South Asians compared to Europeans.
Dr Sehmi has presented his research at various national and international conferences and has published his work in several high-ranking scientific journals. He is known for his expertise in using echocardiography, CT coronary angiography, and cardiac MRI to diagnose and manage cardiovascular diseases. He currently practices as a consultant cardiologist in London and Watford.
