Dr Beatrice Seddon is a consultant with 20 years of experience in treating bone and soft tissue sarcomas. She has treated patients with chemotherapy and radiotherapy, including proton beam therapy. Dr Seddon trained in treating sarcomas at the Royal Marsden and Middlesex Hospitals in London, and specializes exclusively in the treatment of soft tissue and bone sarcomas with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She completed her PhD at the Institute of Cancer Research in imaging of tumour hypoxia. She has a strong interest in clinical trials in sarcoma and has acted as principal and chief investigator for numerous national and international trials in sarcoma chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She has coordinated sarcoma research at a national level and regularly teaches and lectures on the management of sarcomas. Her expertise includes treating soft tissue sarcomas, bone sarcomas, gastrointestinal stromal sarcoma, gynaecological sarcomas (including leiomyosarcoma, endometrial stromal sarcoma, PEComa), tenosynovial giant cell tumour, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), and proton beam therapy (PBT).
