Dr Clive Archer is a senior NHS Consultant in Dermatology at the renowned St John's Institute of Dermatology and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at King's College London (KCL). Prior to returning to the St John's Institute of Dermatology in 2010, he was Consultant Dermatologist and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol (1989-2010).

As a Specialist Dermatology Consultant, Dr Archer cares for adults, teenagers and children with all skin disorders, including General Dermatology, Hair Loss (Alopecia) and Nail Diseases.

Dr Archer is a highly trained and very experienced Consultant in Dermatology, with an extensive track record of over 200 clinical and research publications and four books on Clinical Investigation of Skin Disorders, Ethnic Dermatology - Clinical Problems and Skin Pigmentation, and The Handbook of Systemic Drug Treatment in Dermatology.

Dr Archer has researched immuno-pharmacological cell regulatory mechanisms in the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis (eczema) and psoriasis (M.D.), inflammatory mediators and cytokines in the skin (Ph.D.), and epidemiology of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer.
