About having a gene test

We offer a number of genetic tests to help clinicians understand which approved cancer treatments should be most effective for each of our patients.

Tests are carried out at the Sarah Cannon Molecular Diagnostics laboratory. By allowing clinicians to avoid treatments that won’t work, we treat our patients in the most efficient and effective way.

We offer a number of tests:

  • The 22 gene panel test can help patients with common solid tumours including lung, breast and colorectal cancers, as well as melanoma.
  • The 50 gene panel test can help patients with the same tumours as above, as well as a number of others.
  • The rapid-turnaround single gene tests can help patients with solid common tumours including lung, colorectal and melanoma.
