Occupational therapy
Helping you get back to normal life
Our dedicated therapists work with adults and children of all ages to help them develop or regain everyday skills affected by a range of conditions
What is occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy focuses on making everyday tasks achievable for people with an illness, injury or disability that's limiting them from participating fully in life. Our experienced team of therapists help adults and children with long-term conditions, including developmental disorders, physical disabilities, chronic pain and mental health conditions.
We also offer rehabilitation support for those recovering from a serious illness or surgery. Occupational therapy can help you or your child to develop, regain and maintain the practical skills to do the things you need and want to do — from personal care, to work and school or social activities. Your therapist can also offer advice on adaptive equipment that can help you in your daily life.
My recovery is totally down to the therapists and staff at The Wellington and the amazing equipment they have there.
