Aamir Ali

Dr Aamir Ali is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with expertise in both General Cardiology and Coronary Intervention. He is based at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust and provides private care at The Lister Hospital in Chelsea.

Dr Ali trained in cardiology within London, including at Royal Brompton Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, gaining broad experience in the management of cardiovascular disease across leading centres. He subsequently undertook a post-CCT fellowship at King's College Hospital, where he developed advanced skills in structural heart disease and complex coronary intervention.

He manages all aspects of general cardiology, including chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness and cardiovascular risk assessment. He has a growing interest in the assessment and management of autonomic dysfunction, including postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), and is experienced in supporting patients with complex or previously unexplained symptoms.

Dr Ali is highly experienced in coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention, and is actively involved in the cardiac catheter laboratory. He is also accredited in cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR).

His clinical approach is thoughtful and patient-centred, with an emphasis on listening carefully, understanding the wider context of each patient’s health, and tailoring management accordingly. He combines a high level of technical expertise with a holistic perspective, recognising the importance of reassurance, clarity, and continuity of care alongside medical treatment.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Ali is actively involved in training and service development. He is a Principal Investigator on both national and international cardiovascular research studies, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing the field and improving patient outcomes.
