Mr Thomas Satyadas is a General Surgeon currently working at the private practices at HCA The Wilmslow Hospital. His current NHS post is Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. His areas of specialism are General, Hepatobiliary and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery. His areas of interest include pancreatic cancer, primary liver tumours, jaundice, liver cysts, hernia and gallstone surgery.
Mr Satyadas attained Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Mahatma Gandhi University in 1995. He trained in Cambridge, Adelaide and Paris and has fellowships from Heidelberg and Berlin. He completed training at Royal Free University Hospital, in London. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2003 and in General Surgery in 2007.
Mr Satyadas has a leading role in keyhole surgery in Manchester of the liver and pancreas, gall bladder and hernia. He is passionate about surgical innovation and believes in enhanced recovery after surgery. He is also interested in research and offers courses to GPs regarding altered liver function tests, liver tumours and pancreatic tumours/cysts.
