London-based Consultant General, Colorectal and Laparoscopic Surgeon, Mr Stephen Warren, is a highly experienced clinician with specialist interest in all kinds of abdominal and bowel complaints. Performing surgical operations since 1987, Mr Warren is extremely highly skilled in a wide variety of surgical operations, including both elective (planned) and emergency procedures. Mr Warren is primarily based at BMI The Kings Oak Private Hospital in Enfield, London. His key specialist ares of interest include groin complaints, gallstones, bowel cancers, rectal bleeding, abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and colonoscopy.

In 1986, Mr Warren graduated with a medical degree from the University of London. Finding that patients experienced less pain and recovered more quickly with fewer complications in comparison to traditional, more invasive methods, he soon established a passion for laparoscopic surgery. In 1991, as a young consultant, Mr Warren performed his first of many laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which awarded a national scholarship to undertake 3 month sabbatical and gain experience at the Cleveland Clinic, a consistently top ranked hospital in the USA and leading centre for research, education and health information. After publishing his thesis, he also achieved a Master of Surgery degree from the University of London.

Mr Warren is also a dedicated teacher, trainer and mentor. Outside of work, he enjoys oil painting, playing football and cycling.
