Relocating to the UK in 1989, he underwent training in general surgical disciplines and attained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1993. He then pursued advanced training in Higher Surgical Orthopaedics in Nottingham, achieving Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma & Orthopaedics in 1999.
