Mr Peter Ayliffe is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with qualifications in both Dentistry (BDS Lond) and Medicine (MB BS Lond). He holds several fellowships, including the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the specialist Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Fellowship in Dental Surgery. He is an honorary Senior Lecturer and a member of the faculty for the Fellowship examination at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Mr Ayliffe's special interests include all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including facial injuries, cancers of the head and neck, medical conditions of the mouth, and facial plastic surgery. He specializes in facial deformity and trauma. His expertise includes dentoalveolar surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, forehead surgery, jaw surgery, chin surgery, head and neck cancer surgery, submandibular gland tumour surgery, oral reconstruction, excision of lesions of the mouth, tongue, and gum, general paediatrics, paediatric care, oral and maxillofacial surgery, facial injuries, facial deformity, facial trauma, facial plastic surgery, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problems, cleft lip, palate and other craniofacial abnormalities, congenital craniofacial malformations, oral cancer, and medical conditions of the mouth.
