Paul John Cathcart is a highly experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon who has worked at University College Hospital London and Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust. He specializes in prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment, including nerve-sparing robotic radical prostatectomy, robotic radical prostatectomy for high-risk prostate cancer, and salvage robotic radical prostatectomy.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Cathcart is heavily involved in research and is the Chief Investigator for a number of clinical trials, including the RAFT study, which is investigating the effectiveness and safety of salvage robotic prostate cancer surgery after focal therapy. He is also the Clinical Co-ordinator for the National Prostate Cancer Audit.
Mr Cathcart is well-published in the field of prostate cancer and is a respected lecturer both nationally and internationally on this subject. He is committed to teaching and training junior urologists and is the London training programme director for specialist urology registrar training. He also serves as a national selector for the national training programme for urology.
