Hamid Daya is a Consultant ENT Surgeon with a specialist interest in Paediatric ENT currently practicing at St. George’s Hospital, London where he is the Lead for Paediatric ENT. He was recently recognised as one of the Top private specialists by the Tatler magazine.
Hamid has been in practice since 2000, during which time he developed the concept of delivering family focussed private Paediatric ENT care under the framework “ent4kids” of which he is Medical Director.
Hamid qualified from the Universities of St. Andrews and Manchester receiving his medical degree in 1988. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1993 and completed postgraduate training in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery in London in 1998.
During his training he became fascinated by the field of Paediatric ENT completing his training with a two year Fellowship in Paediatric ENT at the world renowned Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada.
He has a particular interest in middle ear and neck disease. In the NHS at St Georges he contributes to Multidisciplinary Teams in Paediatric Airway, Lymphatic and vascular malformations and The Royal Marsden Paediatric Soft tissue Tumour group. He also works closely with the world leading Foetal Medicine Team at St George’s, where along with his Paediatric ENT colleagues he provides ENT expertise and support for babies diagnosed antenatally with Head and Neck malformations, some of which may need delivery by the EXIT procedure.
He also sees adult patients with General ENT conditions including ear infections, tonsillitis, sinusitis, sore throats and hearing loss
