Mr Habib Ellamushi qualified in medicine in 1985 and subsequently completed training in General Surgery in Glasgow before specialising in Neurosurgery and Spinal Surgery. His specialist training took place at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, the Royal London Hospitals, and Charing Cross Hospital. He further developed his expertise in brain and spine surgery through fellowship training in the United States, Canada, France, and Australia.
He was appointed Consultant Neurosurgeon in 2002 and also holds the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary’s Medical School. His clinical practice focuses on the diagnosis and management of spinal conditions, including back and neck pain, lumbar and cervical disc herniation, spinal infection, fractures, degenerative disc disease, and spinal tumours. He also treats brain tumours and performs a wide range of cranial procedures.
Mr Ellamushi utilises advanced techniques such as minimally invasive and keyhole spinal surgery, laser disc surgery and treatment, spinal injections for pain, kyphoplasty, and CyberKnife therapy for spine and brain tumours. His surgical experience includes complex revision spinal surgery and procedures for sciatica, chronic back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and meningioma. He has authored over 40 publications and book chapters covering multiple aspects of brain and spinal disorders and their treatment.
