About
Mr Angus McIndoe is one the UK's leading experts in Gynaecological Oncology, specialising in treating cancers occurring in the female reproductive organs. Mr McIndoe has extensive experience in treating a wide variety of cancers including ovarian, cervical, endometrial, fallopian tube, vulval and uterine cancers and is highly regarded for his expertise in diagnosing, treating, and supporting patients through their treatment journey.
In 1981, Mr McIndoe gained his primary medical qualification at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, after which he moved to the UK to take up a role at London's Wellington Hospital, where he gained a distinguished research fellowship PhD and surgical training with the Imperial Cancer Research Fund. Mr McIndoe has gained comprehensive training and experience at a number of leading centres based in London, including The London Clinic, The Wellington Hospital, The Portland Hospital, The Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital, and the Sainsbury Wing at Hammersmith Hospital. He has since established his own treatment centre of excellence, The McIndoe Centre for Oncology. He also provides private consultations with the highly acclaimed Nuada Gynaecology Group located at Harley Street.
Mr McIndoe ensures that he spends significant time with each of his patients in order to make them feel as comfortable as possible with regards to their treatment and to ensure that all of their questions are thoroughly answered. Indeed, he is widely acknowledged and praised as immensely compassionate and professional doctor. In addition to his clinical work, he is a trailblazer when it comes to the most recent techniques in robotic surgery to treat benign tumours. He often shares his insights and expertise by giving talks to other surgeons across the globe and has contributed to significant improvements to women's health thanks to his published research.
