Pari Shams

Miss Shams is a full-time and Private Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specializing in the management of eyelid, lacrimal, and orbital disorders. She qualified from Guys and St Thomas's School of Medicine in London in 1999 and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy. She undertook Ophthalmic Surgical training in London, including Moorfields Eye Hospital, and advanced subspecialty training in Canada, Australia, the UK, and the USA. Her clinical practice includes adult and paediatric oculoplastic surgery for eyelid malpositions, reconstructive surgery following trauma or removal of tumors of the eye, eyelid or eye socket, and performs lacrimal surgery for blocked tear ducts. She also performs cosmetic eyelid and periocular surgery. She manages challenging cases requiring revision surgery and patients who require care within a multidisciplinary team. In addition to her clinical practice, she contributes to clinical research, mentors and supervises ophthalmic trainees, and regularly participates in national and international conferences. She provides medical care of the highest quality, based on up-to-date techniques and years of surgical experience, personalized to individual circumstances, objectives, and desires. She advises on the best surgical and/or non-surgical treatment options for effective functional and aesthetic outcomes.
