Dr Mark Earley is a Consultant Cardiologist, based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. He practices in all areas of cardiology, but specialises in disorders in the rhythm of the heart (electrophysiology). He is able to offer a range of procedures to treat conditions, including ablation, pacemaker implantation and through use of defibrillators. Atrial fibrillation is a particular interest, along with resynchronisation therapy and left atrial appendage occlusion. Other interests include hypertension, congenital heart disease, vascular medicine and stroke prevention.
He is actively involved in research and is also responsible for improving heart rhythm services across the North East London region. Dr Earley qualified from the University of Bristol Medical School in 1993 and undertook specialist training in London, before joining St Bartholomew’s Hospital in 2001 – he was appointed a consultant in 2005. His professional memberships include the Royal College of Physicians, Heart Rhythm UK and the NE Thames Cardiology Specialist Training Committee.
