Mr Aamir Iqbal Zubairy is a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon with over 35 years of clinical experience. He earned his MBBS from the University of Karachi in 1987 and holds postgraduate qualifications including FRCS, FRCS (Eng), and FRCS (Tr & Orth). He has been a Consultant at East Lancashire Teaching Hospital since 2002 and also provides private care at Spire Fylde Coast Hospital.
Mr Zubairy is fellowship-trained in foot and ankle surgery, with specialist expertise in managing adult foot and ankle conditions. His clinical focus includes arthritis, bunions, claw toes, neuromas, plantar fasciitis, tarsal tunnel syndrome, and sports injuries such as turf toe and ankle sprains. He performs approximately 550 to 600 surgical procedures each year and sees around 3,000 patients annually in his clinics.
His surgical portfolio includes ankle joint fusion, ankle replacement, bunion correction, flatfoot correction, cheilectomy, hammertoe and mallet toe repair, and Morton’s neuroma excision. He also uses modern minimally invasive techniques and is trained in non-surgical aesthetic treatments, including Botox and dermal fillers.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Zubairy is a fully qualified trauma and orthopaedic surgeon and a GMC-registered trainer. He has served as Co-Clinical Director and Education Lead. Outside work, he enjoys gardening and caring for rescue animals with his wife.
