Mr. Bhakhri completed his specialty thoracic training at Royal Papworth and undertook an advanced robotic fellowship in London. He has pioneered minimally invasive and robotic methods for treating thoracic conditions. He works with a super-specialist group of clinical teams developing processes for world-class surgical care for diseases of the chest, from consultation and imaging to surgery and recovery. His procedures include thoracic (lung) surgery, thoracoscopy or VATS, robotic-assisted surgery, lobectomy, thymectomy, diaphragm plication, lung volume reduction surgery, sympathectomy, NUSS procedure, pectus bracing and vacuum bell therapy, and chest wall reconstruction and rib plating. He treats conditions such as lung cancer, metastatic cancer (lung nodules and pleural effusion), mediastinal tumours, myasthenia gravis, diaphragm palsy, pectus deformity, chest wall injury, and chest pain.
